KWD'S NATIONAL SCHOOOL RECYCLING INITIATIVE

As part of our ongoing development we are also proud sponsors of KWD Kids Recycling (www.kwdkids.com) - an online recycling resource for primary school pupils and teachers, with activities, quizes, information and competitions.

KWD Kids Recycling had one primary aim and that was to get children of all ages Aware and Active in the area of recycling. The more we recycle the less waste goes into landfill sites which is crucially important for the environment, so each school that promotes environmentally friendly initiatives such as this are also benefiting the wider community as a whole.

Aside from the educational possibilities that were open to teachers who wished to focus on recycling through lesson plans and art projects (some ideas for which were on the website); as a means of recognising the input of time and energy from the schools that took part, KWD Recycling donated a number of prizes, including computers, printers and stationery supplies.
